Description
Clomid is made from oral clomiphene citrate. Clomiphene citrate is not not an anabolic steroid but a synthetic estrogen hormone which is used in bodybuilding in order to fight against a number of hormonal imbalances caused by taking anabolic steroids. Clomid helps restore the normal level of testosterone after the treatment and prevents the estrogen present in the body to act and thus makes it possible to avoid the effects which are related to it, of which in particular the gynecomastia.
Clomid is primarily a fertility drug that was created to stimulate ovulation in women who have difficulty getting pregnant. This molecule also has the property of stimulating the production of endogenous testosterone in humans inside the testes, by increasing the secretion of the hormones LH and FSH. It is this last property that interests bodybuilders because they undergo certain hormonal imbalances when they use steroids, and especially when these steroids are strongly androgenic.
Many androgens, and especially the stronger ones like Oxymetholone for example, have the unfortunate consequence of lowering the natural production of testosterone in the body throughout the steroid cycle. This is easily explained if we consider that the supply of external androgens makes it unnecessary for the body to manufacture testosterone since these androgens produce the same effect as testosterone.
The body therefore reacts by stopping the production of testosterone, since it is no longer needed during the cycle. The trouble is that after the end of the cycle, the metabolism does not immediately restart this production of testosterone which has become dangerously low. It is therefore urgent to stimulate it if we want to avoid a serious accident of the metabolism by loss of weight and catastrophic strength. This is why bodybuilders use Clomid, which triggers the production of endogenous testosterone in the testes, and therefore prevents the crash. Athletes testify that a daily dose of 50-100 mg of Clomid can restore normal testosterone levels within 2 weeks. However, before starting treatment with Clomid, bodybuilders usually use Vitagon HCG which also increases the production of endogenous testosterone, but whose action is much faster. Vitagon HCG is used first to raise the testosterone level of the subject immediately after the end of the cycle, then the treatment is continued more durably with Clomid.
At the end of the cycle, there is often a risk of gynecomastia due to the transformation of steroids into estrogen, because these substances have, despite their very different effects, very similar chemical formulas. By occupying estrogen receptor cells instead of estrogen, Clomid prevents estrogen present in the body from acting and thus helps to avoid its related effects, including in particular gynecomastia.
