How to Inject Anabolic Steroids (HCG and HGH are different)

All oil and water based anabolic steroids should be taken intramuscularly. This means that the injection must penetrate the skin and subcutaneous tissue to enter the muscle itself. Intramuscular injections are used when rapid absorption of the products is desired. The most common sites for an intramuscular injection are the buttocks, the side of the thigh, and the deltoid muscle of the arm. The muscles in these areas, especially the glutes, are quite thick.

Due to the large number of muscle fibers and an extensive fascia (fascia is a type of connective tissue that surrounds and separates muscles), the drug has a large absorption surface. The absorption is further aided by the large supply of blood to these muscles. Ideally, intramuscular injections should be given deep into the muscle, away from the major nerves and blood vessels.

The best place for steroid injections is in the gluteus medius muscle which is located in the upper outer quadrant of the buttock. The pelvic crest serves as a landmark for this quadrant. The injection site in adults is usually 7 1/2 centimeters (2 to 3 inches) below the pelvic crest. The pelvic crest is the top of the pelvic girdle at the back. You can find the pelvic crest by palpating the upper bony area above each gluteal muscle.

The upper outer quadrant is preferred because the muscle in this part is quite thick and contains few nerves. The chances of the drug being injected into a blood vessel from this area are slim. Injection into this part reduces the risk of injury to the sciatic nerve that runs through the lower and middle part of the buttock. This nerve controls the posterior portion of each thigh and the entire leg from the knee. If an injection is too close to or actually affects this nerve, extreme pain and temporary paralysis may be felt in these areas. It is for this reason that you should stay as far away from this area as possible.

If for some reason it is not possible to inject in the buttock area, the second choice is the lateral thigh. Usually intramuscular injections in the thigh are only indicated for infants and children. It is the lateral muscle of the thigh area to be injected intramuscularly.

This part is determined using the knee and the greater trochanter of the femur as a landmark. The greater trochanter is the bone area you can feel where the thigh bone meets the pelvic girdle. The middle part of the muscle is found by measuring the width of the hand above the knee and of the palm below the greater trochanter. Injecting into the front of the thigh or the inner thigh is extremely reckless. These areas contain nerves and a number of blood vessels.

Which needles to use?

It is important to choose the correct syringe for administering injectable anabolic steroids. The main components of a syringe include a cylindrical body and a plunger to which a hollow needle is attached. The recommended syringe for anabolic steroid injections is a 22 gauge [1 inch] or 23 gauge [1 inch] syringe with a 3 cc barrel.

This length allows for deep penetration to reach into the muscle tissue. Shorter needles, 5/8 or 1 are usually not sufficient for intramuscular injections.

The gauge size of a syringe represents the diameter of the needle. The smaller the number, the wider the needle. A 27 gauge needle is very fine. An 18 caliber is quite large, it is often referred to as “a cannon”. The two calibers 22 and 23 are thin enough for easy insertion and wide enough to propel solutions,

Buttock Injection: 23 gauge 1.5 inch needle length;
Thigh injection: 25 gauge needle length of 1 inch
Delta Injection: 25 gauge 1 inch needle length

Injection Procedures

There are a number of steps that must be followed in order to give a safe and adequate intramuscular injection. First, before touching the needles or vials, the user must shower completely. An alcohol swab should then be used to clean the injection area and another alcohol swab should be used to clean the rubber stopper at the top of the vial. Then take a new syringe, remove the plastic top, aspirate about 2 cc of air and place it in the vial of your anabolic product. Inject this air into the vial, creating pressure in the vial and making it easier to extract oil-based preparations. Then turn the bottle upside down and slowly remove the oil until you have at least 1/4 cc.

For example, if a person were to take a 1 cc injection, they would need to take about 1 1/4 tbsp to 1 1/2 tbsp of liquid. Then tap the side of the syringe to help the air bubbles that have been drawn into the syringe rise to the top. At this point, the excess of 1/4-1/2 cc can be injected into the vial and the needle withdrawn.

Then hold up the needleless syringe tip and continue tapping to ensure that air bubbles enter the top of the syringe. Now replace the needle with a new one. The needle is not damaged when pushed through the rubber plunger of the vial. It is important not to touch this needle before the injection. It should not come into contact with a counter top or your fingers, it should not be cleaned with alcohol.

This needle is sterile and should not be touched. At this point, dab the injection area again with alcohol and then press the plunger of the syringe, holding the needle to the side, until the air bubbles are completely gone. . Once a trickle of oil has appeared at the top of the needle, it will provide lubrication to allow it to drain from the surface of the needle.

Now take the syringe and hold it like an arrow. Use the other hand to stretch the skin over the injection site, then push the needle in until it penetrates. After inserting the needle deep enough into the muscle, pull back the plunger for a few seconds to make sure it doesn’t fill with blood, which would indicate the needle has been injected into a blood vessel.

If there is no blood in the syringe, slowly push the plunger down until all the oil has been injected. Then quickly withdraw the needle and take another alcohol swab and press firmly on the injection area. This will help minimize bleeding if it does happen. Pressing firmly on the injection area and massaging it lightly can reduce some of the pain. It is important that the liquid is not injected too quickly as this will cause more pain during the injection and in the days after.

Once this step is complete, replace the plastic caps to protect the needles and ensure they are stored properly (to be thrown away or taken to your pharmacist). To avoid excess scar tissue at the injection site, it is not recommended to inject more than 2 tablespoons of solution per dose. It is also not safe to use the same injection site more than twice a week (once a week is best).

Tips and preparations

  • Always warm the vial or ampoule to body temperature before injecting. You can do this by holding it under your arm for about five minutes or by placing the vial in hot water.
  • Just before the injection, press the plunger to allow a drop of liquid to form on the end of the needle and flow onto the needle. This will lubricate the needle with the oily solution of your anabolic steroids.
  • Place the tip of the needle (open in a V) toward the upper body.
  • If you prefer, you can numb the injection area with ice before continuing.
